Dramatic bodycam footage shows Israeli commandos storming checkpoint to rescue 250 hostages and kill 60 Hamas terrorists | The Sun

THIS is the dramatic moment elite Israeli troops burst into a checkpoint and rescued 250 hostages.

Commandos of the Flotilla 13 elite unit gunned down more than 60 Hamas terrorists as they seized back control of the station.

Incredible body cam footage shows Israeli soldiers storming a military post in the kibbutz of Sufa, southern Israel.

Brave troops can be seen going door to door, shooting into rooms as they come face to face with militants.

As they become gripped in fierce gun battles, shell casings can be seen flying before Israeli fighters launch grenades into rooms in a bid to force out Hamas terrorists.

IDF forces can be seen bringing out a bloodied man in handcuffs.

The clip also shows Israeli soldiers entering a darkened room with several bodies seen on the floor – though it is unclear if they were hostages or terrorists.

A group of people – likely hostages – could be seen standing in another room.

One of the Israeli troops shouts: "Stay in the bunker, we're coming."

The IDF shared the remarkable footage from October 7 late on Thursday and told how more than 60 Hamas terrorists were killed.

Commandos also arrested a further 26, including Muhammad Abu A'ali, the deputy commander of the Hamas southern Naval Division.

It added that soldiers "rescued around 250 hostages alive".

The Flotilla 13 elite unit staged the hostage rescue on Saturday after Hamas terrorists stormed across the border and killed hundreds in a bloody massacre.

They dragged an estimated 150 soldiers and civilians – including men, women, children and the elderly – into captivity in Gaza.

The astonishing footage was released just hours before Israel's military ordered more than 1 million people to evacuate as they prepare to unleash their troops into Gaza.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to crush Hamas terrorists amid their bloody assault.

As the war rages into its seventh day, Israel has urged those living in Gaza City to flee their homes as the war-torn country aims to eradicate Hamas in revenge for its grisly assaults.

Israel's military has been massing 360,000 soldiers on the border as it gets ready to discharge a huge ground offensive.

In a hint the expected invasion is imminent, the IDF warned: "This evacuation is for your own safety."

The IDF said: "In the following days, the IDF will continue to operate significantly in Gaza City and make extensive efforts to avoid harming civilians."

But Hamas has called on Palestinians to stay in their homes as it dismissed orders as "fake propaganda".

Sweeping evacuation orders for almost half of Gaza's 2.3 million population were delivered shortly before midnight, UN officials said.

All 1.1 million have been told to leave north of Wadi Gaza including Gaza City for the south within 24 hours.

The Israeli military also sent an order directly Friday morning, warning the hundreds of thousands of civilians of Gaza City to flee deeper south into the Gaza Strip.

It sent panic rippling through civilians and workers already struggling under Israeli airstrikes and a blockade.
