  • On the menu at the facility is Tofurky – a meatless alternative to the traditional bird – which will cater to Maxwell’s vegan diet
  • Jeffrey Epstein’s ex, who is serving a 20-year sentence for grooming his victims,  can choose to participate in holiday contests, such as volleyball and kickball
  • Inmates will also be able to enjoy a Thanksgiving movie after their tasty dinner
  • Maxwell will soon be joined at the prison by reality TV star Julie Chrisley, who was found guilty in a $30million tax fraud case this week

Ghislaine Maxwell will indulge in a vegan feast in her low-security Florida prison on Thanksgiving.

The disgraced socialite, 60, will spend her first turkey day at FCI Tallahassee after she was sentenced for helping her billionaire lover, sex trafficker Jeffery Epstein, abuse young girls.

Maxwell’s Thanksgiving meals shouldn’t be too different from what she is used to since the lunch menu at FCI Tallahassee shows she will be indulging in Tofurky before participating in holiday contests, such as volleyball, kickball, board games and a three-point shooting contest, according to a spokesperson from the prison.

Inmates will also be able to watch holiday films after their tasty dinner at the federal jail.

Epstein’s ex-lover will soon be joined by reality television star Julie Chrisley, who was found guilty in a $30million tax fraud case on Monday.

Maxwell will spend the holiday with her new prison mate, reality television star Julie Chrisley (right), who was found guilty in a $30million tax fraud case. Todd and Julie (pictured) maintain they did nothing wrong, have referred to their conviction as a ‘shakedown’, and claimed they are the victim of a dishonest ex-employee

For breakfast, inmates can choose to lightly snack before their hefty lunch. The morning options include fruit, bran flakes, whole wheat bread, skim milk and between two types of jelly.

Inmates can choose between vegan tofurky or turkey for their main course. Other options on the menu include cornbread dressing, sweet potato pie, macaroni and cheese, collard greens, dinner rolls, cranberry sauce, fruit and soda.

If there is room left after the Thanksgiving festivities, dinner will include a boxed meal of peanut butter and jelly, fruit, whole wheat bread and dessert.

FCI Tallahassee – Maxwell’s home until at least July 2037 – is surrounded by a maze of 30ft fences and cameras but the elegant, red-brick building behind the rolls of jagged razor wire looks more akin to a high school or college campus.

The notorious madam was tearful and withdrawn when she first arrived, refusing to eat and complaining bitterly to prison authorities that her clothes didn’t fit.

But four months on, inmate 02879-509 has taken up several fun new hobbies, made friends and come out of her shell, an insider told DailyMail.com.

Insiders say Maxwell has used her privileged upbringing to boost her popularity among the 755-strong female population – drawing on her Oxford University education and literary savviness to recommend novels and history books.

In fact, cell-mates in Unit B South think the British heiress is so smart they recently nominated Maxwell to represent them in a checkers competition – part of an Olympics-style ‘battle of the units’ tournament, held annually.

‘There is everything from kickball to hula-hoop but she was selected for the 40 and over checkers,’ dished an insider.

‘You want the best players and she has a reputation for being smart. The winning unit gets a really good meal, chicken wings, pizza, that sort of thing. It’s much better than the usual food.

‘It’s a big deal. Nobody cares what you’re in for so long as you win.’

Prisoners at FCI Tallahassee get a leisurely workday of six hours a day – leaving time to workout or participate in pottery sessions, tournaments, or crochet lessons.

When she’s not working, Maxwell has also become ‘obsessed’ with playing softball – as she prepares to keep herself busy in the Florida prison.

The socialite started playing softball competitively at the facility to represent her prison wing.

Inmates have now dubbed the child sex trafficker ‘Dottie’ – after the character in the baseball movie A League of Their Own.

A prison source told the Mirror: ‘Ghislaine is very popular among the girls. She is very sociable.

‘Straight away, she began mixing with others taking part in all manner of activities. She almost won musical chairs one day, getting down to the last two.

‘But it’s her love of softball she seems to most enjoy. Whenever there is a game, Ghislaine want to play. When she took to the field, they called her Dottie. It stuck.’

Although she once attended the most lavish events and consorted with the likes of Prince Andrew and Bill Clinton, she is now a key player in her B South unit’s softball team, beating bitter rivals A South unit and another wing.

The 1992 movie A League of Their Own features Dottie Hinson, played by Geena Davis.

Also starring Tom Hanks, the early 90s classic tells the true story of two sisters who join the first female professional US baseball league.
