There were at least two people in the gray Honda Pilot on East 156th Street between Elton and Melrose Avenues in Melrose on July 2

The NYPD released harrowing footage of the moment a gunman got out of a gray Honda Pilot SUV and started shooting at Urena on East 156th Street between Elton and Melrose Avenues in Melrose.

The video shows at least one shooter firing what appears to be a gun with an oversized magazine clip.

After the attack the man got back into the SUV and fled on East 156th Street, police said.

Cops from the NYPD 40th Precinct found Urena and he was taken to Lincoln Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

NYPD data shows that crime is on the rise across the city.

Major crimes in New York are up 38 percent this year compared to last year, with robbery up 39 percent, burglary rising 34 percent, and felony assault jumping 19 percent.

However, murders are down 13 percent from last year, and shooting victims have dropped 9 percent, gains that police officials attribute to a push to get illegal guns off the streets.
