In his biography of Prince Charles, Rebel Prince: The Power, Passion and Defiance of Prince Charles, he says that Charles once sent a truck full of furniture to replace fittings in guest rooms ahead of a visit to a friend in the North East.
Amongst the collection of items was his own orthopedic bed, linen, Laphroaig whisky, bottled water and rolls of Kleenex Premium Comfort lavatory paper – and his own loo seat, reports the Daily Mail.

“Don't you believe that!” the Queen Consort said.

Many insiders have opened up about the King's particular demands, with some members of staff at Clarence House even going as far to give him the nickname of "Pampered Prince", according to the Amazon Prime documentary, Serving the Royals: Inside the Firm.
