Get meow-t of here! Kitten found with its head stuck in a glass bowl is dubbed Buzz Lightyear by rescuers

• Kitten was stuck in a glass bowl and rescuers dubbed the animal Buzz Lightyear 
• The cat was lured into a drop trap with the help of some food and rescued 
• Was taken to Animal Care and Adoption Center for vaccines and spay surgery
• It has now settled into its new surroundings and is ready to be adopted  

We’ve all got ourselves into some sticky situations in our lives or found ourselves in some confined spaces.

But perhaps no one has been quite as unlucky or felt as cramped as a kitten found with its head stuck in a glass bowl who was dubbed Buzz Lightyear by rescuers.

The unfortunate cat, aged six months, was seen meandering around the Fall River neighborhood in Massachusetts- while stuck fast.

A nearby resident to the 200 block of Danforth Street contacted Fall River Animal Control.  

They lured the cat, which they named Buzz Lightyear, and her siblings into a drop trap with the help of some food. 

Then the ARL Field Services agent was able to remove the glass jar and handle the kitten. 

Rescuers took Buzz Lightyear to ARL’s Dedham Animal Care and Adoption Center. 

She was dirty from living on the streets but found to be in good health and was given vaccines and spay surgery.

Rescuers took Buzz Lightyear to ARL’s Dedham Animal Care and Adoption Center

Buzz took a little while to learn to trust humans but has now settled into her new surroundings and is now available for adoption.

The Animal Rescue League of Boston’s Field Services said that they worked with Fall River Animal Control to rescue her.

ARL found a previously unknown cat colony while rescuing Buzz and they will begin trapping others to provide them with medical care and surgery.

They will also assess behaviour to possibly place other cats from the colony into loving homes.
