The mum with "royal links" who has since gone missing after giving birth in the back of a car left burning on a motorway could already be abroad, an ex-police chief has claimed.
Police have been searching for Constance Marten, 35, and Mark Gordon, a convicted rapist, ever since the pair abandoned their car on the M56 just a few miles away from Bolton.
The 35-year-old and the baby are not believed to have been checked out by medical professionals since her disappearance nearly three weeks ago, with her estranged father appealing to her to come forward "as soon as possible".

First responders have since revealed they found a placenta in an abandoned, burning vehicle on January 5.
Sources close to the investigation have said emergency service staff attending the scene of the abandoned car spotted signs of childbirth in the back seat.
Many of their belongings are believed to have been destroyed in the blaze, with items left behind as the pair abandoned the vehicle and fled.
Police inquiries have suggested the pair then travelled hundreds of miles on foot from Liverpool to Harwich, with the two last spotted at East Ham station.
And a heartfelt appeal from Napier Marten, a man with connections to the Royal Family, saw him appeal to his estranged daughter to seek police protection.
But it has now been claimed they could already be overseas.
Former Greater Manchester Police chief constable Sir Peter Fahy told The Independent: “Given the passage of time, there may be some concern they’ve been able to get abroad.

“There are weaknesses in our system through some of the ports, getting to Ireland and stuff like that, it makes it easier for people to flee.
“The passage of time gone and their not being discovered in this country despite all the efforts is a concern.
“Clearly the mother sounds like she’s vulnerable then you have this guy he’s a sex offender as well.
“So in terms of missing people apart from someone who left a suicide note, it would be very very high risk which would justify a high level of resources to trace.”

Constance's relative Marten was a page at the late Queen's coronation.
He said his daughter needed to "find a way to turn yourself and your wee one in to the police as soon as possible, so you and he or she can be protected".
He added: "I would like you to understand that the family will do all that is needed for your wellbeing.
“And I also wish you to understand you are much much loved whatever the circumstances.”
