NEIGHBOURS have been left with overflowing and maggot-infested bins for at least two weeks.
Residents called the binmen lazy and alleged council officials have ignored their pleas to have the rubbish removed.
It is thought the cul-de-sac's rubbish was abandoned because cars were parked around the corner as a result of nearby roadworks, blocking the dustbin lorry's access.
But residents said it was a trash excuse and said the workers should have walked a short distance to collect the bins on foot in Kirklees, West Yorkshire.
Nigel Beever told YorkshireLive: "Instead of walking on they have abandoned us. They are just lazy."
Ann Brook, 84, added: "Why can't they turn up? I spoke to a chap from the council last Friday who said they would look into it.

"They told me to leave the bins out. We've had no response whatsoever.
"Last week they missed the black bins and this week they missed the black and green, although somebody's brown bin was emptied this week. Why come for one and not the others?"
Another resident said they wheeled all the bins for a neighbouring street but ignored their cul-de-sac.
And they said they fear that rats will be coming after the rubbish soon.

A Kirklees Council spokesman said: “We are aware of an issue collecting the bins in a very small number of streets. These issues have unfortunately been caused due to pressures on our teams that are beyond our control, such as roadworks.
"We understand that this sometimes causes residents to worry and we want to assure those affected that we are working to get those bins emptied.
"We intend to collect the bins at the beginning of next week, so residents should leave them out ready for collection. We will also remove any bagged, excess waste that is left beside the bins.”
This week we told how a single mum considered putting a padlock on her bin after cheeky neighbours kept using it.
The woman took to Mumsnet to complain about her situation, admitting she's only recently moved to the area and was left shocked by her neighbours' behaviour.
"So I've recently moved house, and my neighbours overall seem okay," she began.
"I'm a single parent with one child and our council collects the recycling bin one week and the general waste the following week."
She added that on occasion, she only puts the recycling bin out monthly because she doesn't "always fill the bin 100% for both collections".
The week before last, the woman was working four shifts back to back and didn't put out her recycling because she knew the bin wasn't full.
