Urgent hunt for man after woman attacked in sexual assault while walking through town centre | The Sun

COPS have launched a manhunt after a woman was sexual assaulted while walking through a town centre.

The victim told police she was viciously attacked by a man around 1:40am on Saturday morning in Needhams Walk, Coalville.

Support is being provided to the woman as detectives appeal to the public to help identify a person they believe may be connected.

Leicestershire Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to in relation to the incident.

He is seen with dark brown hair and wearing a white jumper.

The area was taped off as officers examined the scene but has since been reopened.

Detective Sergeant Amanda Boswell said: "We are appealing to the man pictured, or anyone who recognises the man, to make contact with us as part of our enquiries.

"We are also appealing to anyone with any information in relation to the incident to get in touch.

"Please think back – were you in the area of Needhams Walk during the early hours of Saturday morning? Did you see or hear anything which caused you concern?

"Do you have any dashcam footage or CCTV footage from the area during the early hours of Saturday morning?"

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or call 101 quoting incident 73 of 5 November.
