Woman, 19, has BLEACH thrown over her in 'senseless attack' as as three other teens are arrested for 'assault' | The Sun

A WOMAN has had bleach thrown over her in a "senseless attack".

The 19-year-old was doused in the chemical by three other teenagers.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Wortley Avenue, Salford, around 7pm on Tuesday.

Cops said the victim suffered minor injuries.

The suspects, two aged 19 and one aged 17, have since been arrested on suspicion of assault.

They all remain in police custody.

As police cordoned off the area, forensic officers began their investigation.

One witness recalled hearing "screams" at the time of the attack.

They told Manchester Evening News: "I heard the screams, but at first I just thought they were playing.

"But then I realised they had thrown bleach all over her."

Chief Inspector Darren Whitehead said: "Fortunately this incident has not resulted in more serious consequences, but senseless attacks of this nature have the potential to cause life changing injuries.

"Officers responded quickly to this incident and three females have subsequently been arrested.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
