Woman and her pet mauled by German Shepherd as cops hunt beast's owner | The Sun

COPS are on the hunt after a German Shepherd launched a terrifying attack on a woman and her dog earlier this week.

The shocking incident unfolded in Middle Road playing field, in Shoreham on Wednesday, October 11 at around 10am.

At first, the uncontrollable mutt ran towards them and try to bite the terrified pet.

The woman was then knocked to the ground, before the German Shepherd locked its jaws around her as she tried to help.

Sussex Police described the raging mutt's owner as white and in his 40s with a large build and brown hair.

He was wearing glasses and sported a white top with blue jeans.

A Sussex Police spokesperson confirmed: "The woman intervened and the German Shepherd ran away, before returning and knocking the woman over and attacking her.

"Anyone who saw what happened or who has any information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting serial 461 of 04/10."

Fortunately both the woman and her dog only sustained minor injuries.
