Kylie Jenner left fans in hysterics as she hit back after an egg landed more ‘likes’ than her on Instagram.
Amassing more than 26 million ‘likes’ since being uploaded on January 4, new account world_record_egg has now topped her original record of 18 million – which she bagged with a picture announcing the birth of daughter Stormi Webster.
Sharing an image of a single egg against a white background, the account raked in support as it urged users: "Let’s set a world record together and get the most liked post on Instagam.
"Beating the current world record held by Kylie Jenner (18 million)! We got this".
Hilariously addressing to the news she and Stormi had been taken over, Kylie took to Instagram to share a video with her 123 million followers.
Touching the ground and confirming it was hot, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star then proceeded to crack an egg onto the hot pavement and attempt to fry it in the heat of the sun.
"Take that little egg," Kylie teased in the caption to her post.
The funny comeback was praised by fans online, and her friends and family also rushed to the comments.
"Lmaooooo," her sister Kendall Jenner wrote under the snap, while Jonathan Cheban replied with an egg emoji and a hammer.
Although the identity of the user who created the egg account is unknown, they took to the the page after de-throning Kylie to describe the whole ordeal as "madness".
"What a time to be alive," they added. "Thank you so much for all of your support and messages…
"I’m gonna try and get back to as many of you as possible. But for now I need to sleep."
Teasing further Instagram missions in store, they added: “It doesn’t end here though, we’re only just getting started. #EggGang. Mic drop.”
