Carol Vorderman takes aim at GB News presenter for ‘calling weather maps woke’

GB News: Neil Oliver in epic cancel culture rant

Former Countdown presenter Carol Vorderman mocked GB News presenter Neil Oliver earlier this morning after he described the use of weather maps as “inexcusable fearmongering”.

The BBC Radio Wales host took to Twitter to poke fun at the news channel in view of her 838,900 followers this morning.

Carol retweeted a post from Byline Times Political Editor Adam Bienkov, who shared a screenshot of a tweet from GB News.

The tweet featured a still from Neil Oliver Live with the quote: “Weather maps are among the most blatant and inexcusable fearmongering deployed so far”.

Under the screenshot, Adam wrote: “I’m not saying they’re losing the plot, but they’re now shouting at the weather for being woke.”

Agreeing with Adam, Carol then penned: “Sometimes you have to laugh… I mean really you do…

“Now some ‘talk show channel is calling the weather WOKE,” she added with an eye roll emoji.

Express.co.uk has contacted Neil’s representatives and GB News for comment.

As well as describing weather maps as “inexcusable fearmongering”, Neil also issued a warning on his show.

“Listen to doom-mongers describe how you and I must live in the future, and watch how they live now. What a scam.”

Many Twitter users agreed with Carol, with Simon commenting: “These are people who would argue with thermometers.”

“Yeah cos shouting at the weather is really going to change things,” added Chris.

While many viewers on the GB News Twitter feed liked Neil’s reporting, with Twitter user Neil writing: “Excellent show as usual keep up the good work Neil.”

“Wonderful work Neil keep on breaking the narrative,” another viewer penned.

Neil Oliver Live airs Saturday at 6pm on GB News.
