Matthew Wolfenden gives insight into living situation after Charley Webb split

Matthew Wolfenden called reports he’d cheated “out and out lie” after the ex-Emmerdale was pictured holding hands with his new girlfriend and Elf co-star Heather Scott-Martin.

Taking to his Instagram stories today, the 43-year-old said he needed to get something off his chest as he planned to set the record straight.

Over the top of a picture of him walking hand in hand with personal trainer and actress Heather, Matthew called reports he’d cheated an “out and out lie”.

He added: “Can you leave us alone now?”

In a follow up post, he wrote: “Glad to get that off my chest! And if you want to come see us both in @elfmusicalldn – click the link for tickets!”

Last month, Matthew and fellow Emmerdale star Charley announced their separation after five years of marriage.

In their original separation statement shared on both their accounts, Charley and Matthew told followers: “It is with love and respect that Matthew and I have decided to separate.

“We remain friends and our priority is the love for our children. For their sake we would appreciate privacy at this time.”

The couple, who first met on Emmerdale 17 years ago, share three children – Buster, aged 13, Bowie, aged 7, and Ace, aged 4.
