I’m A Celeb star Nigel Farage’s ‘strategy exposed’ by expert

Nigel Farage and Nella Rose discuss cultural appropriation

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star Nigel Farage has a “clear strategy” and “clearly finds it frustrating” when he’s not the centre of attention, according to a body language expert.

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Bingo, body language expert Darren Stanton has suggested the former UKIP leader was annoyed not to be chosen for last night’s Misery Motel trial.

“In terms of Nigel, I definitely believe he has a strategy and wants to be seen on screen as much as possible,” Darren said.

“I’m A Celebrity is a perfect vehicle to put himself out in the public arena. If he’s vocal and controversial, that’s going to end up on screens.

“I do think he was delighted after being voted for tonight’s trial. It’s an opportunity for him to be the centre of attention.

“He likes being front and centre. When he’s not, he clearly finds it quite frustrating,” he added.

Express.co.uk has contacted Nigel’s representatives for comment.

Nigel previously got into a row with YouTuber Nella Rose on the show over the concept of cultural appropriation.

Speaking about the frosty atmosphere between the two campmates, Darren said: “I definitely think Nella has got a real problem with Nigel.

“This was apparent as when Nigel attempted to approach her in the camp, she almost immediately got up and moved to sit somewhere else.

“Nigel went on to follow her, which caused Nella to fold her arms really tightly. As well as being extremely dismissive towards him, her face was showing anger and sadness.

“Nigel is a strong character, with a forceful personality. It’s clear that Nella doesn’t want to be in the camp or around him at all.”

It comes after Nigel said he didn’t believe cultural appropriation was wrong, claiming: “They criticise when it suits. If a white person does a black accent, it’s a crime.”

“What do you mean, Nigel?” Nella said, to which he replied: “You know, when someone goes to a fancy dress party … it’s cultural appropriation.”

Nella then responded: “Like what, if you were to do black face, then it is wrong.”

Nigel said he was referring to a person “dressing up as a Mexican”, to which Nella fired back: “You can’t use someone’s culture as a fancy dress, the Mexican outfit is tradition to them.

“That’s why in America they don’t dress up as native Americans, because it’s not a joke.”

Nella later told the Bush Telegraph: “Nigel’s just going to be Nigel at the end of the day, I’m not going to listen to any of his opinions about race.”

“It’s the delusion that confuses me. It’s the ignorance of like, not caring about other cultures… When Nigel was speaking I was just so disappointed in him because we were getting on so well.”
