Inside Discovery+’s New Show Pop My Pet

Fans of Dr. Pimple Poppers, mark your calendars. Discovery+ will debut an all-new special on March 1 that will exclusively stream exclusively on the service and it’s aimed at viewers with four-legged companions.

POP MY PET will feature veterinarians treating mysterious lumps and bumps on animals. According to a press release from discovery+, the one-hour episode will follow at least two cases, including a dog with a melon-sized mass and an alligator with a lump on his jaw.

Veterinarians Dr. Jackie Duenas, Dr. Cody Creelman, and Dr. Grant Dunbar will be featured on the show as they respond to animal caretakers who come to them for help. Duenas, located in Miami, will treat Pumpkin, a rescue dog who suffers from a large mass that makes walking difficult for the pooch.

The doc will also travel to GatorLand in Orlando to examine Predator the Alligator, who has a mysterious lump on his jaw. Meanwhile, Creelman, based in Canada, will visit a farm to treat a Jersey steer named Archie. In California, Dr. Grant treats a hanging lump on Sweet Pea, a Maltese.

Viewers will watch from diagnosis to recovery

The veterinarians on POP MY PET are experienced in treating animals for various ailments. Dr. Jackie Duenas has worked at Sunset Animal Clinic in Miami, FL. since 2017, specializing in soft tissue surgery, dermatology, and emergency medicine, according to the practice’s website.

Creelman is a veterinarian, who has gained a massive social media following, is known as “the cow vet,” thanks to the videos of himself at work he has shared online, according to his website. Dunbar is the owner and medical director of Chino Hills Animal Hospital in California, his practice website states, but began his career at Animal Emergency Medical Center in Los Angeles.

The special will show these veterinarians and their teams transforming the lives of animals with extreme cases. Viewers are encouraged to share their reactions to POP MY PET on social media by using #PopMyPet and following @AnimalPlanet on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.
