James Blunt reveals that he blew THOUSANDS of pounds after he tried to grow drug-laced fruit in Ibiza pad

James Blunt has revealed that he blew thousands of pounds in an attempt to grow drug-laced fruit.

The singer, 49, recalled in his new book Loosely Based On A Made-Up Story that he lashed out on funds in an attempt to grow hallucinogenic fruit.

He said that he bought liquid acid to water his fig trees at his home in Ibiza in an attempt to grow the fruit.

His new book reveals some very true, and false, anecdotes for the publics amusements.

One of the tales in the book read that he called his father, who was head of the Air Corps, to rescue him and his troops in Kosovo.

James, who was apart of the Household Cavalry, told that two Apache choppers did indeed arrive in five minutes.

He penned: ‘The soldiers weren’t bothered about me overexerting my privilege, they were saying, “Yup, f***ing call him!”.’

Recalling why some people didn’t like him, he wrote: ‘When I look back I want to punch me in the face.

‘I came out of boarding school and the Army and I was very naive and I got a bit of a kicking.’

‘Did I deserve it? Yes, probably. Has it kept my feet on the ground? Definitely.’

It comes after the singer risked a fall when he leaped on top of a very wobbly piano during an intimate gig in London on last week.

He pulled out all the stops for his show at Omeara, as he promoted his new album Who We Used To Be as well as performing some of his classic hits.

But as James leapt on to his piano for his upbeat hit 1973, he struggled to balance while the instrument rocked from side to side, in a clip obtained by Metro.

Crouching down he danced to the track and pumped his fist in the air while the crowd went wild.

The hitmaker then jumped down and kicking over the stool during the rock and roll moment, before continuing on with the rest of the song.

Meanwhile, James recently shared a hilarious video while naked in the bath to announce that he is going back on tour after the release of his latest album.

The singer’s new record Who We Used To Be is available to preorder and the You’re Beautiful hitmaker urged fans to order it in order to get exclusive early access to his 2024 tour.

However he chose to film the promo clip from the unlikely setting of his bathroom as he leaned over the side of the tub while addressing his fans.

In the comedic clip, James showed off his shirtless yet muscular frame as he shared the exciting news with fans.

Keeping a straight face, he informed fans on how they can pre-order the album in order to secure access to the early ticket release.
