Friends star Matthew Perry dies aged 54
The entertainment industry continues to mourn Matthew Perry after news broke of his sudden death aged 54 on Saturday.
Khloe Kardashian is the latest celebrity to pay her respects to the late Friends actor – but fans have been left in a panic thanks to the lack of context in her tribute.
The Kardashians star took to X (previously Twitter) on Saturday evening to – what appears to be – pay a tribute to the Friends alum, whose sudden death has shocked fans worldwide.
Khloe, 39, simply wrote: “Rest in peace”, followed by a red heart, a broken heart and a plaster emoji.
“Heartbroken. Unbelievable [two crying face emojis]” her short message concluded.

Shortly after posting the tweet, the Good American founder was met with hundreds of baffled and panicked fans.
One worried fan @jaxjokerx questioned: “What happened Khloe?? Everything alright?” as another user @aIWanHeda echoed: “Who died?”
A third fan @mynameis_DRE penned: “No context… Just assuming you mean Matthew Perry,” and user @Italianrainbow1 asked: “Are you speaking of Matthew Perry Khloe?”
While user @rileyjbaddie clarified: “If y’all are confused the actor from ‘friends’ Matthew Perry was found dead in his L.A home on Saturday October 28, 2023 due to drowning while in his hot tub.

Others who gathered who Khloe was possibly referring to also shared their upset underneath her tribute, with @JustDirmax writing: “It’s so sad to hear Matthew Perry is gone, He made us all laugh.”
While it’s not particularly clear who Khloe is referring to, it is likely a response to hearing the shocking news that household name Matt Perry has tragically passed away.
The 54-year-old actor was reportedly found unresponsive at his LA home after emergency services responded to calls for a possible cardiac arrest on Saturday afternoon.
It is believed the actor drowned after he was found in his jacuzzi. It was also noted that foul play was not suspected, with drugs not found near his body.
Further reports state that he was found at his own home by his assistant, who had returned from an errand he’d sent them on.
