Montana Brown ‘struggling mentally’ as she asks for help with ‘bald patches’ after birth

Love Island'sMontana Brown has given an incredibly honest account of her experience of motherhood in a recent Instagram post.

The 28-year-old shared an adorable picture of her cradling newborn son Jude – who she welcomed with fiancé Mark O'Connor in June – and revealed that she'd been "struggling mentally way more than [she] anticipated" for the past two weeks.

Alongside the image, Montana bravely captioned the post: "My anxiety has been at an all time high and I’ve been so emotional which I struggle with. I know its understandable with juggling so much. Im trying to just have love and patience for myself as I can feel myself just being so negative and finding it hard to get out of it.

"Not being able to move, looking after a newborn, being in pain and just not being able to go for a walk and do things that I know make me feel happy and clear my head."

The TV star hasn't disclosed exactly what happened to her around the time of the birth, but she did reveal to fans that she has been recovering from mystery leg surgery.

Montana previously shared an image of herself in a hospital bed with her leg in a cast to her 1,200,000 Instagram followers that after undergoing surgery she is in lot of pain.

However, she said was in "high spirits" despite it being her first time going under general anaesthetic.

Now, in her recent Instagram post, the Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins star has opened up about not only the physical impact it has had on her, but also the mental and emotional side too.

She continued: "Just thought it’s worth sharing as I am normally a very positive person and the past 2 weeks has been the first time in an extremely long time that I’ve felt this low and upset. I’m always feeling grateful for the people in my life who always build me up and support me.

"My beautiful friends and family – I appreciate them so much. I know I won’t feel like this forever so this week I’m making a conscious effort to do my affirmations, meditate and breathwork as I need to try regulate my anxious bod and get back to happy Mon."

Postpartum hair loss was also on Montana's mind as she pleaded with followers on "what can [she] do for bald patches".

This isn't the first time that the star has given a very real glimpse into life as a mum as she recently declared herself a 'sexy, bald mum' when she discovered her hair is falling out, three months after giving birth.

Following her surgery, Montana wrote: "I washed my hair for the first time in a long time since surgery, it was so painful but worth it but then I discovered I'm balding now so that's fabulous news. So now I'm a sexy, bald, immobile and spotty mum."
