Farage says he left I’m a Celeb ‘fitter and stronger’ than ever
Nigel Farage’s girlfriend Laure Ferrari has broken her silence after she was rushed to hospital following a surfing accident. The 44-year-old had just touched down in Australia before suffering a horror injury to her arm.
Speaking on ITV’s Coming Out show, which is a spin-off of I’m A Celebrity after the winner is crowned, she awkwardly spoke about her injured arm which is now in a sling.
“So I spent my first day in a hospital. I decided to go surfing and I had a bit of an incident,” she revealed. She greeted Nigel after he was eliminated from the jungle over the famous treetop bridge.
Laure has been dating Nigel for the last six years. She came out to Australia to support Nigel and officially confirmed her romance following rumours of a relationship for some time.
She first met Nigel in 2007 when she was working as a waitress in Strasbourg. Laure then struck up a conversation with Nigel which later became her inspiration to get into politics.

Nigel’s appearance on I’m A Celebrity drew criticism from ITV fans, with many threatening to boycott the show. More than 1000 people wrote complaints to hosts Ant and Dec after it was reported that Nigel was paid £1.5 million to appear on the programme.
Farage is a British broadcaster on GB News and a former politician who used to be the leader of the UKIP Party. He followed in the footsteps of British politician Matt Hancock who appeared on the show last year and came in third place.
Earlier this week, Nigel was quizzed by Good Morning Britain presenter Ed Balls about how much he was paid to go on the show. Speaking on the show via video link from Australia, the duo exchanged a heated discussion when Nigel failed to mention the £1.5 million fee but when Ed brought it up, Nigel said money was a big motivator.

He said: “I gave up a very successful career in the City of London, colleagues of mine are on the rich list. I gave all that up, I live very modestly, have done for years, I’ve never moaned about it. But is this the biggest paycheck I’ve ever had? Yes it is, what on earth is wrong with that?”
Nigel narrowly lost the title of King of the Jungle to Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson. Former heavyweight boxer Tony Bellew, who was a late addition to the camp, came in second place.
The I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! Coming Out show aired last night (Wednesday 13 December) where all the campmates were reunited with their loved ones and had their first proper meals outside the jungle.
