Sir Billy Connolly, 79, tucks into mince and tatties at Scots pub amid recent health woes

A couple of rare snaps were taken of Sir Billy Connolly, 79, at The Oak Tree Inn at Balmaha, Loch Lomond in Scotland on Sunday. The Scottish comedian has not been seen as often in recent years due to his health, as he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease back in 2013.

Sir Billy was pictured tucking into mince and tatties during a trip to his home country.

The star currently lives in Florida with his wife Pamela Stephenson, after having retired from comedy back in 2018.

The pub shared some sweet snaps of the comedian sat by a roaring fire, writing: “The Big Yin! He loves The Oak Tree’s Mince n Tatties.

“They’re not on the menu anymore but the chefs rustled them up at his request. Shall we bring them back?”

The actor was all smiles as he posed for the camera wearing a grey jumper, black and white beaded necklace and his signature specs.

Sir Billy’s retirement came five years after his Parkinson’s Disease diagnosis, which the star has been living with ever since. 

The brain disorder affects people’s ability to move, talk, and their coordination, causing them to shake.
