Tory Lanez Put on House Arrest Following Alleged Altercation With August Alsina

A spokesperson for the L.A. County District Attorney’s office confirms that that the Canadian emcee, who is also having legal case involving Megan Thee Stallion, is set to begin the home confinement on October 31.

AceShowbizTory Lanez will not be going anywhere for a while. “The Color Violet” rapper has been placed on house arrest after he was allegedly caught in an altercation with August Alsina last month.

A spokesperson for the L.A. County District Attorney’s office confirmed to XXL that the Canadian emcee is set to begin the home confinement on October 31. It’s scheduled to last until his trial begins for the alleged shooting of Megan Thee Stallion, which starts on November 28.

The altercation between the two musicians allegedly occurred on September 17. The next day, August wrote via Instagram, “Me after a toupee’d sneak attack then being man handled by buku security one deep, as the jealous leprechaun run’s back off into the building,” along with a series of graphic photos.

Denying the allegations, Tory said, “I don’t know what everybody talking about…” He claimed that he was “in the studio…,” adding that he’s “not in anything negative” and that he’s “been working on my myself… and being a better person.” He even told DJ Akademiks that “nothing happened” between him and August despite surfaced proofs of him and August at the same place before the alleged brawl happened.

Tory is also having legal trouble involving Megan after he was accused of shooting at the femcee and wounding both of her feet in July 2020. Before the date was set in November, he was previously scheduled to kick off the trials in September.

Earlier this month, Tory divulged that he’s facing 24 years in prison. “I am in an open case and maybe I make this s**t look really beautiful, but I am facing 24 years, I’m making s**t look beautiful, don’t I? But guys, I am actively facing 24 years next month,” he explained. The rap star, born Daystar Peterson, further stressed, “Like this is no play play situation. I’ve been in this for three years. I’ve never played internet games with you guys. I’m not gonna start now.”
