Victoria Beckham was ‘overruled’ on second Brooklyn and Nicola wedding in UK

Victoria Beckham was overruled when it came to her suggestion that her son Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz have a second wedding in the UK, according to a report.

The 48 year old is thought to have offered up the Beckham family’s Cotswolds home in the UK countryside to son Brooklyn, 23, and daughter-in-law Nicola, 27, however this was turned down following the reported sour relationship between Victoria and Nicola.

There has been speculation that the pair have not been getting along after falling out in the build-up to Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding in April, after Nicola reportedly became resentful at the Beckham family taking over arrangements.

Following the lavish ceremony held at Nicola’s family’s £76 million Florida estate, Mail Online reported that the couple did not call on the Beckham’s Cotsworld estate for a suggested second wedding, despite travelling to Europe for their honeymoon.

According to the publication: “The Beckhams were interested in having weddings on both sides of the Atlantic, with a celebration at their house in the Cotswolds as they did for Brooklyn's 21st plus one in America.

“The Peltzes, as is traditional, wanted to have just one wedding at their immense house in Florida.

"Claudia Heffner Peltz, a titanium socialite and former top model, firmly took charge, and made a number of decisions, including that there would just be one wedding.”

This report comes after it’s been said Victoria is concerned Brooklyn has become more distant from her, following her rumoured rift with wife Nicola.

A source told HEAT Magazine: "Vic says Nicola is not the charming girl she once knew.

"Nicola wasn't really famous before she met Brooklyn. Sure, she was rich, but she was an actress with a few small movies to her name. Since she married Brooklyn, her profile has sky-rocketed."

Rumours of a falling out between the former Spice Girl and her daughter-in-law were triggered by claims Nicola refused to wear a wedding dress designed by Victoria.

A source has since said Victoria and David Beckham are “deeply upset” over the reported falling out with Nicola.

They told Mail Online: “The Peltz family can offer him things which they [the Beckhams] cannot in terms of commercial connections. David and Victoria have been deeply upset by how things have played out.

“They are worried that Nicola is going to hurt Brooklyn. They feel that the relationship is unbalanced. He makes a lot of sacrifices for her but it’s not clear what happens in return. But you know, as Victoria says: ‘He’s just gaga about that girl.’”
