A WOMAN who bought her wedding dress at a thrift store has unexpectedly bagged herself vintage gold.
It cost her just $5 but its real monetary worth was an astonishing $1750.
But to Autumn Trickler its true value was in the memories it has since bought her.
This lady clearly had an eye and could see its potential – even if she wasn't even engaged at the time.
But that didn't stop TikToker Autumn (@_a_bizzle_), who has 22,000 followers, from purchasing her thrift store bargain.
It was her mom who first spotted the box that contained the dress.
"She opened it and the shoes, old magazines, the dress, and the veil came out of it.
"My mom asked how much it would cost and was told $5."
They took the dress out: "We both knew instantly it was my dress. I wasn’t even engaged yet at the time. I have always had a love for older fashion and decor.
"The dress gave off such a timeless look. The box even had the lady’s name on it who it had come from prior to me."

The gown fit her perfectly and needed no adjustments.
"It was definitely a made-for-me moment. I still have it hanging up in my closet. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to part with it," said Autumn.
But there was no doubt the price ticket had huge appeal too.
On the hanger, this dress did not look especially promising.
That changed once this bride tried it on and was convinced this was the dress.
People have been amazed where she found it and in her post she mimicked the reactions she has had.
“You paid $5 for your wedding dress at a thrift store?”
But the astonishment continues when they learn just what she bought.
This was not just any old wedding dress.
It was, she said, "1950s vintage. $1750 dress back then."
Her post generated a lot of comments and over 112,000 likes.
One person said: “Ma’am, you and that dress found each other. It was made for you.”
