A DERMATOLOGIST has revealed the three mistakes you are making when it comes to reversing ageing.

Shereene Idris, a top skin doctor based in the US shared the common errors your making when it comes to anti-ageing skincare, and it makes all the difference when it comes to looking youthful.

Taking to social media, she said: "So your skin looks good but it doesn't look great, I'm a 39-year-old board-certified dermatologist, the top three things you are likely missing in order to have great looking thing."

The first step, which will come to no surprise to anyone is not being vigilant about sun protection.

And yes, this does mean wearing your SPF daily.

But she also revealed you need to take into consideration being outside when UV rays are at their highest, staying in the shade as much as possible and wearing clothes that protect you from the sun.

The second common mistake people make is not having a targeted skincare routine.

"What do I mean by this?" she asked, "Not trying to use every active under the sun, but using actives directly targeting your issue.

"Yes, so many people have many different issues all at once, but not all issues are created equally."

The skincare expert recommended focusing on your most prominent issue first, whether it be anti-ageing or acne as you will see the most benefit.
