“Today I want to talk about three massively popular skincare products that I personally wouldn’t use if I had clog-prone skin, which I do. Here we go.
“In at number one…is this moisturising cream in a tub for face and body.
“Straight off the bat, the fact that it says face and body is a massive red flag to me. Usually, anything that can be used for face and body is just a lazy formulation.
“Things that are good for the body are usually made of cheaper and more occlusive ingredients, which can typically be a bit more clogging.

“This contains plenty of ingredients that I don’t like in it, and I’ve noticed that these ingredients span across a lot of the different products by CeraVe.
“Two of them are Ceteareth-20 and Cetearyl Alcohol, and to be honest I just feel like if you use this, there is a high chance that you might get clogged pores, especially if you’re clog-prone.
“In at number two is this Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentrate. Very similar reasons why I wouldn’t use this one.
“This product literally has ten ingredients in it and five or six of them out of ten, I would say, are a risk for clog-prone skins.
“I would say risk as everyone reacts differently to different ingredients.
“But yeah, it’s definitely not something I would advise people use if they have acne or they struggled with texture.
“It’s going to make your skin feel amazing because of the ingredients that it uses but the things that it has, like Stearic Acid and other kinds of Stearates, I just think could easily be problematic.
“In at number three is this hydrating cleanser. I have used this before and I hated it immediately.
“It’s because it stang my skin and if it stings your skin, it probably means you’re sensitive to fatty alcohols.
“Those are the ingredients I mentioned in the first product, and as I said, CeraVe uses these across a lot of their range.
“They sting your skin and I found that they even kind of created a faux texture on my skin.
“Because my skin was sensitive to it, it kind of created a mild rash, and on top of that, I think it actually does a really bad job of cleaning your makeup.
“So I think people get clogged skin because it doesn’t do a very good job of cleaning your makeup off in the first instance which is what cleanser is for.”
Below the video, she added: “If you love them, keep loving them, if you’re acne prone maybe don’t.”
Fans loved Natalie’s honest review, with the video gaining more than 73,000 likes and 892,000 views.
In the comments, her followers agreed and shared their experiences with some of the products, with one writing: “The CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser absolutely destroyed my skin barrier. And it was a slow damaging process so I realized too late.”
