I’m an Aussie living in Scotland and made my first trip to Poundland – people are loving my ultimate snack haul | The Sun

AN Aussie living in Scotland has told of his joy after visiting Poundland for the first time and picking up the ultimate snack haul.

Marc Murphy shared his bargain buys with his 30k TikTok followers after being blown away by the hugely popular store.

Despite being a well-known haunt for Scots shoppers, tourists appear to be amazed by the cheap prices and wide range of products.

Marc said: “So I’m an Aussie who’s just moved to Scotland and so of course I have to try all the treats here.

“So I went to this shop called Poundland and it’s an amazing shop where everything is pretty much like £1.

“I got prawn cocktail chips. I have no idea what to expect.

“I had to try this when I saw it. It’s a Mars Bar milkshake.

“These things called Caramel Logs look interesting.

“These Caramel Wafers biscuits by the same brand are very popular here.

“I don’t know if this is British or Scottish but a Wispa Bar. And of course Irn Bru.”

Those in the comments seemed to approve of his choices.

But others had some suggestions for other types of food he needs to try while in Scotland.

One person said: “Have a cup of tea when trying the caramel logs and wafers.”

Another wrote: “Cheese XL crisps, you can only get them here. Also macaroon or tablet. Tunnocks teacakes are the holy grail.”

While a foodie commented: “Forget all of them.“Plain bread, Tablet, White Pudding, Aberdeen butteries and Forfar Bridies.”
