I’m told to cover up in the gym – I wear what I want anyway, but people are really more concerned with my form | The Sun

A YOUNG woman told to cover up at the gym has discovered she has more pressing concerns than what to wear.

It seems she might have more of a problem with men doing an awful lot of mansplaining.

Twenty-one-year-old Mira (@mirafit.004) is a gym fan and a lot of her TikTok features her pumping iron.

She has clearly dedicated many hours to her pursuit for her body is ripped and toned.

So most people might think she knows a thing or two about lifting weights.

But one TikTok post, ostensibly about her gym wear, suddenly became more about her gym method.

In the video filmed at the gym, Mira wore black shorts and a matching sports bra as she worked out.

She captioned her post: “Cover up in the gym, there are creeps.”

Nevertheless, this young woman continued regardless, as she has regularly done with her 239,000 followers.

But in this post commenters seemed less concerned with her gym attire and more with her form.

The mansplainers were out in force and felt the need to educate.

“Your form needs to be checked,” was an example of one of these.

Another damned her with praise: “Congrats on your motivation. But not a good way to deadlift. A** up too early and not enough back tension. You can do better.”

“You are so cute," was the opinion of one fan.

Finally, a more welcome acknowledgment: “Omg, queen, you are so brave, a survivor and a warrior.”

Fortunately, there were much more prepared to tell her what a slayer she was.
