People are amazed when I tell them how I get all my clothes dry without a tumble dryer – my bedding's done in 30 minutes | The Sun

A WOMAN has left people amazed after sharing her hack to get her laundry dry inside, without using a tumble dryer.

The mum-of-two explained that she can even get some of her bedding dry in just 30 minutes.

And all by using a heated airer.

"How do you dry your clothes so fast in colder weather?" she wrote over the top of her TikTok video.

Before answering: "My Minky heated clothes airer!"

"Two years going strong on this clothes airer," she added in the caption.

"A must for keeping on top of your family's washing, especially in winter when washloads are more due to all the winter layers!"

"How long does it take roughly to dry please?" one person wrote in the comments section.

To which the mum replied: "Depends on the fabric and how thick it is.

"My bedding could be dry in 30min, some clothes a couple hours, thicker things can take a bit longer."

MUM’S THE WORD

I let my daughter, six, have a day off school every month to go shopping

"Does also work for bedsheets? And kids blankets?" another asked.

With the woman responding: "Yes, I love it for those.

"The scent of your washing lasts longer than it would in a dryer too."

She also said that she prefers not to use the cover as, in her opinion, it dries the clothes quicker without it.

The Minky clothes airer is currently £60 in Argos – it costs less than 8p an hour to run and holds 16kg of washing.

"Oh, I need this!" one person commented on the video.

"This makes no much sense," another added.

"I want this," a third insisted.

Not everyone was convinced though, as one wrote: "This can cause damp and mould problems in some builds, our old flat grew black mould due to drying indoors, my advice is to get a condenser dryer."
