THE QUEEN had a hilarious reaction to Kate and Prince William's kitchen renovation at Anmer Hall, a property on Her Majesty's estate.

The property located on a Sandringham estate in Norfolk, was given to the Prince William and Kate Middleton as a wedding gift.

Sally Bedell Smith, author of Elizabeth the Queen: The Life of a Modern Monarch, told PEOPLE that Her Majesty made the remarks during a visit to the Cambridges for lunch.

She said: "I remember when they had just finished renovating Anmer Hall, and they invited the Queen over for lunch.

"They have one of those big kitchens with eating areas, and she said, 'I can't understand why everybody spends their time in the kitchen'."

Lunch at the Cambridges is likely to become an often event after their move from their main Kensington Palace home to Windsor.

Kate ‘mirrors’ daughter Charlotte in Commonwealth Games snaps, claims expert

A body language expert has claimed that Kate Middleton at times “mirrored” her daughter while they were together at the Commonwealth Games.

Body language pro Judi James had this to say: “Kate is known for her smile and laughter in public, but these poses show her looking a lot more spontaneous.

“At one point she sits open-mouthed in what looks like playful shock or indignation.

“Kate appears to be taking her lead from Charlotte and mirroring her slightly, which clearly shows they are sharing the fun and losing themselves in the moment.

“Charlotte’s dramatic facial expressions that include sticking out her tongue, widening her eyes and looking totally engrossed show an immersion that could only come from a lack of shyness and self-awareness.

“It is so good to see Kate following suit, even in a more subtle way.”

    Andrew has no chance

DISGRACED Prince Andrew has no chance of clawing his way back into the senior royal fold when Charles becomes King, an expert says.

The disgraced royal, 62, appears in a list of appointments to Her Maj in an official Ministry of Defence document published weeks after he settled an alleged sex assault case.

The Duke, who is no longer allowed to use his HRH title in any official capacity, always denied wrongdoing and the settlement accepted no liability in the matter.

But a royal expert has dismissed the possibility of Andrew being able to claw his way back under Charles' reign after daughters Eugenie & Beatrice recently stepped up.

Jonathan Sacerdoti told Express.co.uk: “I can't see any way that the Royal Family would try to push Prince Andrew, front and centre again anytime soon.

"I think that corresponds with an era when we're seeing the Royal Family slim down anyway, in terms of who's put out there to do a lot of public work.

“I think that the Queen has divided more of her role to the next generations in order to alleviate the burden on her at her old age, and that is entirely reasonable."

The expert also said this move would align with Charles' reported view to slim down the Monarchy.

    Father-daughter bond

Body language expert Judi James says William also seems "totally happy" to lower his status and confidence signals to raise his daughter's and allow her some of the "power" in the relationship.

She explains: "It was Charlotte finishing and closing their good luck video to the England Women’s Football team prior to the Euros Final.

"Here we see William standing in a more passive pose with his hands clasped in front and an expression of mock shock as Charlotte performs a very emphatic and confident ‘thumbs up’ signal at him.

"By making her dad laugh like this, Charlotte should feel more assertive and grown-up.

She adds: "William’s puckered and part-suppressed smile of utter pride as he looks at his daughter here is only nearly matched by Kate’s wide beam from the other side.

"We have seen Charlotte being mentored by her mum before, but this is the first outing where we can really see the bond between father and daughter."

Speaking to the Daily Star, Royals expert Kinsey Schofield said: "I imagine Meghan's birthday might be an intimate dinner at Lucky's Steakhouse in Montecito. Maybe David Foster and Katharine McPhee also got a babysitter and are there to talk shop and celebrate the Duchess.

"Meghan loves to be in the kitchen so I do think she would wait to do the sweet treats and cake with Archie and Lili."

She added: "They might even bake and decorate themselves. I think we can expect a low key birthday for Meghan this year."

"Maybe Prince Harry would gift her a new piece of jewellery that is somehow related to their babies. Their birthstones or initials."

'Charming' Princess Charlotte steals show at Commonwealth Games

Princess Charlotte has been described as a "charming" young girl after her first family engagement with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The seven-year-old princess joined her proud parents in Birmingham – host city of the Commonwealth Games – to learn about a programme preparing the next generation of sportsmen and women for future events.

Charlotte appeared curious about her surroundings and the people around her at Birmingham University, and a little apprehensive at times, but received a reassuring arm around her shoulder or word in her ear from William, and held Kate's hand at other moments.

The young princess revealed gymnastics was the sport she liked most and joined a nutritional workshop helping her parents place pictures of foods like nuts, bread and grapes into the right groups, whether protein, carbohydrates, antioxidants or healthy fats.

At one point Charlotte was asked to update a Team England medal board and added a bronze, won in the men's team table tennis event, and a silver from the lawn bowls men's pairs.

She was also taken by William and Kate to events at the Commonwealth Games and was photographed grinning during swimming heats and later joined her parents to watch a hockey match.

Kate and William urged to give up annual 100 day holiday

Royal expert makes clear that many won’t take kindly to their excessive number of holiday days.

Many people across the country are given only 22 days of holiday, and with the cost of living crisis, many struggle to take holidays both abroad and at home.

Daniela Elser wrote for news.co.au: “It’s time for the Cambridge’s to give up this royal perk. They can’t have their nearly 100 days of holiday per year and still try to sell themselves as the Duke and Duchess of Relatability.”

Prince Andrew’s chances of making a comeback to royal life are slim

A royal expert has claimed that Prince Andrew has a very low chance of making his way back into the public eye as a working royal.

Following the Epstein sex scandal, Prince Andrew has been pushed out of his royal duties.

Despite this, the Queen has involved him (albeit very minimally) in certain events, such as Prince Philips funeral.

However, a royal commentator has said that under Prince Charles, Andrew’s older brother, he has no chance of making a comeback.

Jonathan Sacerdoti told the Express: “I can’t see any way that the royal family would try to push Prince Andrew, front and centre again any time soon.”

He continued: “In due course when Prince Charles is the Monarch I think we will see even more steps to slim down the working royal family.

“Part of the reason for that will be to avoid any controversies about individuals or to avoid putting anyone out there who feel they might not command the same level of respect that the Monarch themselves commands.”

Charlotte is using the Queen as a ‘body language role model’, expert claims

The young royal clearly looks up to Her Majesty, according to body language pro Judi James.

Charlotte was spotted out with her parents at the Commonwealth Games this week.

Discussing the moment Charlotte shook the hand of Dominica swimmer Warren Lawrence, Judi said: “We’ve seen her shaking hands in a very royal meet and greet ritual before, but she has often needed a little nudging to do so.

“Here though she looks quite keen to shake hands and is actually enjoying the process.

“Her arm is held up at a very assured angle and she uses eye contact and an eye smile as she performs a pretty convincing ‘social’ mouth smile.

“The angle of her hand and her facial expression are so similar to the Queen’s there is a hint she might have been using ‘Gan Gan’ as her body language role model.”
