Tequila Rose fans race to Aldi for new dupe of sweet strawberry cream that gives you change from a tenner | The Sun

IT'S the the original strawberry cream liqueur, but doesn't come in cheap.

However, Aldi has once again left people "seriously impressed" with a dupe of Tequila Rose, which is just £9.99 a bottle – saving buyers up to a third on the original.

Emily took to TikTok to share a video showing the El Toro liqueur- "strawberry cream with a dash of tequila".

"Aldi LOVE a dupe!! & this one I'm impressed!" she wrote over the video.

The 15% volume drink comes in 50cl bottles.

And people were quick to comment on the video, with many admitting they needed to hear to their local supermarket to nab a bottle.

"YASSS love this stuff," one wrote.

"It's so nice," another added.

As a third commented: "I’ve been hunting my Aldi down for this, man!"

"There's a raspberry ripple version as well," someone else pointed out.

"We are buying this for Saturday," someone else said.

"Full on flavour and sweet on the palate, the new El Toro Strawberry Cream Tequila can be enjoyed neat, over ice, or as part of a deliciously creamy cocktail," Aldi wrote on their website of the new drink, which officially launched in stores in October.

But not everyone was convinced that it was such a good deal.

"Smaller bottle to tequila rose though," one wrote.

"And when on offer tequila rose is only £12, this is a tenner."

"With Tesco clubcard it's £11 so seems pointless," another added.

To which someone else wrote: "Oh really, yeah deffo I’d rather have the real deal."
