What are liquidation return pallets?

As the name suggests, liquidation return pallets are a box full of inventory which cannot be sold in the regular store.

Due to a wide range of reasons – from returns to slight damages – many stores have begun selling off their old backlog of stock, including John Lewis and even beauty returns pallets.

The idea allows companies to sell mass amounts of unsellable items, which generates some income and helps get rid of bulk goods to a new home.

Many people have also revealed that they’ve even made a living out of refurbishing goods from return pallets.

And, on average, online returns alone cost UK retailers £5.2billion a year, according to PaymentSense’s annual report.

The data, released back in December 2021, showed “serial refunders” cost UK small businesses an average of £15,600 a month.

Analysis looked at the top 500 retailers in the UK to see which customers were searching the most for free returns.

Amazon topped the list with an average of 4,400 searches per month, while fashion brands Asos, Shein, Zara and Boohoo completed the rest of the top five.

Where can I buy a liquidation return pallet in the UK?

All you need to do to bid on an auction is register with B-Stock and once you’re approved, you’re free to bid.

There is no fee required for applying, or for being an approved buyer, but you do need to be a valid reseller to apply.

Can you make money off liquidation pallets in the UK?

Savvy shoppers have revealed their success stories and shown how their is money to be made.

Previously, one couple even shared how they had made enough money to cover their mortgage payments by selling off products in an Amazon returns pallet.

Jamie and Sarah McCauley who live in West Michigan, got their hands on two boxes full of returned electrical equipment for £750.

Inside the pallets, the pair got lucky as they unwrapped four Nespresso machines, two microwaves, two deep fryers, and three Air Fryers.

And that was just the beginning of their haul.

But others haven’t had the same fate, and one woman was left majorly disappointed when she received 11 hair stylers in her pallet.
