HAVE you ever wondered why the tube of mascara hasn't given you the desired effect?

According to one TikTok beauty whizz, it could be to do with how you apply the product – and the correct way will leave you with flattery lashes and more volume in seconds.

The 25-year-old make-up guru, Scortezz Beauty (@scortezzbeauty), took it to his social media page to demonstrate the hack, which has taken the internet by storm.

In the video that's been viewed more than 2.3millon times Scortezz explained that it's all about something called the ''backcombing method''.

This, he went on to demonstrated, involves taking the wand and applying the mascara on the back of your lashes.

''With the wand, what you're going to do is roll away from the away and simultaneously starting at the top of your lash, is you're pushing down.

''So push and roll.''

Once you've done this, you may notice that the lashes are looking a bit ''wonky'' – to fix this, simply push them right up.

''Doing this is really going to add a lot of volume and fullness right at the root of the lash,'' he claimed.

''And it's easier to build length with backcombing, as well as stack lashes on top than without it.''
