Camila Cabello perfectly models a ‘brownie batter brunette’ hair colour

We’re not quite sure when it became a trend to name hair colours after seasonal food and drinks, but here we are. We’ve had “pumpkin spice” coppers and “glazed olive” browns, and now it’s the turn of “brownie batter” brunettes.

Havana singer Camila Cabello seems to be the driving force behind this new glossy autumnal hue, having just shared the outcome of her dessert-inspired hair transformation on Instagram. Her hair colourist Nikki Lee gives fans an even more detailed look at the colour on her grid.

“#TikTok calls it Brownie Batter Brunette. Let’s see what Instagram thinks. Colour by me on this beauty,” Nikki captions the selfie of Camila, prompting followers to give more shade analogies…

“Brownie batter with a peanut butter drizzle!” comments a follower.

A second says: “Camila Caramelo?”

Camila’s new colour is a gorgeous mix of caramels painted over deep, glossy brunette base – a tone that actually does resemble the richness of raw brownie mixture. If you’re looking for a more professional explanation of Camila's hair, Jordanna Cobella, Wella Professionals digital craft expert and Cobella salon owner, says:

“It’s a mixture of subtle caramel hues with darker neutral tones running through the hair. Muted multi-dimensional hues add depth and movement to the hair, while a luxurious shine, making the shade look gorgeously rich.”

Jordanna recommends Wella Professionals' new in-salon glaze service Shinefinity (from £20 in salons) as a fantastic way to add shine to strands and to blend the butterscotch and rich-brunette tones together.

Is it wrong that we’re feeling a little bit hungry now?
