Being cheated on is never a good time, and is perhaps even harder when it happens in the public eye.

Inspired by how Vanessa Feltz has handled beingcheated onby her partner of 16 years Ben Ofoedu, let’s take a look back at the stars who held their head high amidst all the scandal.

Miley Cyrus

Next up is Miley Cyrus. Although it hasn’t been confirmed that Liam Hemsworth cheated on her, many fans have speculated that he did with FOURTEEN women and she released her latest single ‘Flowers’ on the Hunger Games star’s birthday. Coincidence?

The song and music video are believed to contain a number of clues as to what happened in the relationship, with many saying they think the video was shot at the house where Liam did most of the alleged cheating.

Robert Pattinson

You may remember that Robert Pattinson has suffered a cheating scandal. He had been in a relationship with Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart, until she was papped with film director Rupert Sanders.

Stewart released an open letter apology to Pattinson, saying: “This momentary indiscretion has jeopardised the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob…I'm so sorry."

However, Robert Pattinson remained tight-lipped and refused to speak about the scandal until two years later. He told Esquire magazine “S***t happens… It's just young people, it’s normal! And honestly, who gives a s***t?”

Sandra Bullock

Sandra Bullock was the victim of a highly public cheating scandal with her ex-Jesse James, in the middle of the process of adopting a child together.

Bullock ended up adopting the child herself, and divorcing James.

Shania Twain

Shania Twain might be happily married to husband Frédéric Thiébaud now, but the story of how they met shows that love really does come when you least expect it. Twain’s husband at the time cheated on Shania with her best friend, who was married to Frédéric Thiébaud.

The couples both got divorced but Shania and Frederic ended up falling in love and getting married. They do say happiness is the ultimate form of revenge.
