A forensic doctor has left social media users stunned after candidly revealing secrets from her job – including the five things that can happen when working with dead bodies.

Texas-based doctor Mileida Bohórque regularly shares details from her unusual profession on TikTok, where she has more than one million followers.

Recently, she revealed five processes that a corpse can go through after death – from ‘opening their eyes’ to ‘farting.’

The video that the doctor recorded in Spanish has over 3.4 million views so far, with the Venezuelan mother-of-four sharing her experiences.

Recently, she revealed five eye-opening processes that a corpse can go through after death – from ‘opening’ eyes to ‘farting’ 

Firstly, Mileida explains that one of the first things bodies can do is release gas.

The doctor said that many bodies she has worked on have ‘farted’ – some more than once.

Next, Mileida claims that her hand has been squeezed and she has also seen dead people ‘open’ their eyes – including sometimes during autopsies.

The doctor claims she has occasionally left the room and then returned to discover the person’s mouth is also wide open.

Lastly, according to the expert, corpses can try to ‘hug’ the person who is examining them.

It is not clear if the doctor’s experiences are due to post-mortem reactions in the body such as rigor mortis or other unexplainable reasons.

But the revelations have nonetheless left social media users shocked.

The post has so far received more than 209,700 likes, as well as thousands of comments.

Based on her comments Mileida certainly isn’t the only one intrigued by the experiences. 

Her greatest ‘passion is teaching’ and she ‘really enjoys’ the live shows that she records online.

She uses her social media as a tool to explain anatomy, pathology and forensics in an easy way to her viewers. 

The doctor purchased a fake skull that she calls Mr Galen that is her ‘model’ for her ‘virtual classes’ on social media. 

One of Mileida’s biggest inspirations is Venezuelan physician José Gregorio Hernández who she mentioned in her online post after receiving her diploma from the University of Zulia

As a proud Venezuelan, she also shares the death practices that are sacred in her country. 

She posted online that the Yanomami tribe that resides in the mountains of Brazil and Venezuela cremate a person after death and then consume their ashes if they were a good person. 

The tribe believes that the good energy of the deceased person lives inside of the bones and by eating the ashes, the passed person reintegrates into their family group. 

If the deceased person was bad during their lifetime, they are simply cremated.
