How do I get my dad away from his abusive wife? | The Sun

DEAR DEIDRE: MY dad’s new wife is an abusive narcissist, who wouldn’t even give up her weekly yoga class to visit him in hospital.

She only cares about herself, and I’m worried for his future.

My dad is 75 and his wife is 68. I’m his 42-year-old daughter.

He is the sweetest, kindest man you could ever meet. His new wife is cold and nasty, always putting me down when I visit.

Yet he won’t hear a bad word said about her and thinks I’m critical because I’m still grieving for my mum.

But I’m not resentful about having a stepmother, I’m trying to protect him.

Dad was diagnosed with cancer and reacted badly to the chemotherapy and she seemed irritated, and complained that he was exaggerating his symptoms.

If it isn’t about her, she has no interest or empathy. How can I get my dad away from her?
