Finding the perfect dress to wear to a loved-one’s wedding can be a difficult task.

And one woman has revealed how she has been left in a quandary over whether or not to wear a pink floral gown to a friend’s big day.

Posting on Reddit’s Wedding Attire Approval page, social media user @glooplooop shared a snap of the vibrant ASOS dress, writing: ‘Outdoor Texas wedding with Spring cocktail attire?’

The £45 slip dress, which is from Topshop, features a bright floral pattern in pink and orange and a high slit up to the thigh of the garment.

However other users questioned whether it was appropriate to wear to someone’s nuptials.

One person wrote: ‘What’s the material? If it’s too silky or satiny it might not breath well and be super sweaty.’

Others disagreed, and said they would back the wedding guest to wear the dress to the event.

One commented: ‘Good pick but not with those shoes.’

Another wrote: ‘Very pretty and appropriate!’

A third added: ‘I think it’s perfect but definitely not with those shoes.’

Another was also enthusiastic about the option, writing: ‘Great choice!’

It comes after another woman left social media torn over whether a fitted baby-pink dress was more appropriate for a church pew or the bedroom.

The poster, who is understood to be from the US, invited feedback on a shimmering, flowy frock which she hopes to wear to a ‘semi casual/formal’ wedding in the spring.

The slip-on piece from retailer Altard State, which she shared a picture of in a Reddit post, promises a ‘comfortable and breathable fit’ and is priced at $50.99.

But few appeared to be enthusiastic about the gown, with some claiming it looked like ‘lingerie’, while others felt it was ‘too casual’.

The anonymous woman posted snaps of the dress on the Reddit page, asking if it was appropriate for an outdoor Texas wedding

‘I don’t know what semi casual/formal means, but this dress seems really short for a wedding,’ one advised.

‘A good rule of thumb is if you can’t bend over without showing anything, it’s too short for a wedding.’

Others also admitted the length was a little sparse for their taste.

One person suggested to go for something less dressed down.

‘It’s better to be a little overdressed than a little underdressed,’ they warned.

Social media users were divided over whether or not the dress was appropriate to wear for a wedding – with some saying it could be ‘super sweaty’

‘And this seems too casual.

‘I’d maybe try to get a little more clarity on the dress code as well cause casual and formal don’t really mix.

‘If anything I’d go for cocktail attire?’

‘Given the combination of length and fabric this seems more like nightwear,’ a third added.
