Heat: Danny Dyer stars in episode teaser for Channel 5 drama
22 Kids and Counting at Christmas aired last night but viewers of the Channel 5 series were left disappointed and claimed they felt it was “staged”. The episode followed Noel and Sue during the festive period, which might be the last one as a family of 22 as Daniel is planning to move to Australia in the new year.
Sibling rivalry left the clan at war with one another and Sue and Noel attempted to bring them back together with a variety of incentives. This included a surprise party at the bakery, a present reward chart (that went horribly wrong), and team-building fun at the Christmas markets.
Whilst the episode was filled with drama and festive traditions, many viewers felt disappointed with the episode and took to their X account, formerly known as Twitter, to complain.
Denise Sutcliffe fumed: “Staged, fake, and a disgusting amount of food wasted #22kidsandcounting.”
@Stressed_Eric72 commented: “I wonder how much food was wasted when the Radfords ‘accidentally’ left the freezer open to create a TV drama? #22kidsandcounting.”

@rebeccamason12 added: “So scripted and very poorly acted. 22 kids and you’re surprised that there is fallout!
“Happens in all families, this is just on a larger scale. A ‘perfect ‘ Christmas doesn’t exist, Sue, so you are expecting far too much #22kidsandcounting.”
@IslaCC said: “#22KidsandCounting what an awful staged episode….time to give it up I think!!!”
@LF207170 expressed: “Ngl I think that was so staged however the trailer for the next series looks actually real #22kidsandcounting.”
@tinkertink2010 quipped: “It’s hilarious watching the Radfords acting like it was actually Christmas when it was filmed months ago. Staged to f*** #22kidsandcounting.” (sic)
