Percy Jackson and The Olympians will be landing on Disney+ this week but how many episodes does season one consist of and when are they going to be ready to watch?
The action-packed superhero series, based on the bestselling books of the same name, has been in the making for quite some time and now the wait is almost over.
As part of its Christmas line-up, Disney+ will be releasing Percy Jackson and The Olympians starring Walker Scobell and Leah Jeffries ahead of the big day.
The last time the teenage demigod was last seen onscreen was way back in 2010 with the movie starring Logan Lerman, although it received mixed reviews.
But with author Rick Riordan having a more hands on role for this new series, subscribers are very excited to see what’s in store.

What is the episode release date schedule for Percy Jackson and The Olympians?
Percy Jackson and The Olympians is going to be making its debut on Wednesday, December 20, on Disney+.
The superhero series consists of eight episodes in total with only the first two instalments coming out on this initial release date.
After December 20, a single episode is going to be released every Wednesday on Disney+.
As long as there are no scheduling delays, Percy Jackson and The Olympians’ series finale will drop on Wednesday, January 31.

The show will predominantly follow the events that are in the first book, Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief.
Each episode is also named after the chapter titles of the books:

Giving more of a tease for what’s to come, an official synopsis has also been released for season one.
It reads: “12-year-old modern demigod, Percy Jackson, is coming to terms with his newfound divine powers when the sky god, Zeus, accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt.
“With his friend’s help, Percy must restore order to Olympus.”
Percy Jackson and The Olympians premieres on Wednesday, December 20, on Disney+.
