Hit Australian soap Neighbours has made a major update to its opening titles following a number of cast changes and a soap star departure.
Last week, the Amazon Freevee show bid farewell to actress Mischa Barton, who played businesswoman Reece Sinclair. Following her exit she was also removed from the signature intro.
Mischa's character Reece left Ramsay Street to return to America after dad Conrad, an investor in Lassiters, suffered a stroke. The decision for her leaving also came after finding out that sister Krista (Majella Davis) was alive and well, despite previously believing that she was dead.

The closing section of the opening titles previously saw Reece joining her fellow Erinsborough favourites at the pool. But now, Melanie Pearson (Lucinda Cowden), who is back on the show full-time following the aftermath of Flashback Week, has replaced Reece.
Now, in the final moments of the intro, viewers will also be privileged to see Melanie join her neighbours by the poolside with a cake in hand. But Reece's replacement and her dramatic removal wasn’t the only major change that has taken place in the opening titles as a number of other characters have also been included in the titles too.
Krista, who has also been added to the show as a permanent character, now appears beside Byron Stone (Xavier Molyneux) and Haz Devkar (Shiv Palekar) on the beach. However one of the biggest changes, sees the addition of David Tanaka (Takaya Honda), Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson), Nicolette Stone (Hannah Monson) and their daughter Isla, who are seen enjoying a picnic with Jane Harris (Annie Jones) and Sam Young (Henrietta Graham).
The big change will come as treat to fans as it confirms that David and Aaron are back on the show full time. Matt Wilson, who plays the character Aaron, previously teased that Aaron and David will be here to stay.
Talking to Metro, he said: "In the previous Neighbours, there was about 20 main characters and your storyline would go in ebbs and flows. But [in the upcoming episodes] it just does not stop for us – not once!
"It flows really well into the next storyline and the next, they’re all really well connected – and connected as well within the Street with all the other characters. It’s nice juicy stuff."
