The last three instalments of the revealing Netflix series were released on the streaming platform on Thursday, and during Friday’s This Morning, former Countdown icon Carol joined hosts Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond as well as fellow guest Gyles Brandreth to give their take on the tell-all docu-series. Carol confessed she became “angry” and described the watch as “six hours of my life I won’t get back”.

The series has continued to make headlines as the final half of the programme landed on Netflix.

Many new claims about the Royal Family were made, and viewers have been quick to share their views.

“I watched three episodes last week because we were on the sofa,” Carol explained.

She went on to say: “I’ve watched episodes yesterday – six hours of my life I can never get back.”

She continued: “I got angry at one point – very angry.”

The media personality stated she became enraged by the couple’s “rejection of the concept that everybody watching, everybody here was going through lockdown and Covid.”

She went on: “There was no generosity of spirit towards those who have suffered.

“I felt there was a sense of being spoiled and overprivileged.”

Gyles, who appears alongside Carol on Celebrity Gogglebox, explained he disagreed with one particular part of the series.

During the documentary, the couple reflected on their time in Nottingham Cottage, stating it had been “very small”.

Gyles, however, commented: “I’ve been in Nottingham Cottage – it’s not that small, it’s a beautiful cottage.”

Carol also added that she sympathised with the royal couple’s experience of press intrusion.

Meghan remarked during the docuseries: “It sounds very regal but Nottingham Cottage was so small.”

Harry added the building had “low ceilings” and continued: “As far as people were concerned we were living in a palace. We were living in a cottage on palace grounds.

“Kensington Palace sounds very regal of course, it does say palace in the name. But Nottingham Cottage was small.”

Meghan detailed how her husband used to bang his head on the ceilings while moving around in the cottage due to the room length.

In the first few episodes of the series, the couple reflected on the early days of their relationship.

The last three episodes saw the couple exploring their decision to step away from the monarchy.

They also talked about the moment Harry tried to broker a deal to step away from the Royal Family.

The Duke of Sussex went on to say that during the fiery interview, the late Queen Elizabeth II remained silent.
