Coronation Street signs up Hollyoaks bad boy

Fans of Hollyoaks and Coronation street will be pleased to know that Hollyoaks bad boy Calum Lill is set to set foot onto the cobbles soon. Coronation Street has reportedly signed the star, who shot to fame in his 12 episode stint playing PC Carlton Smith in the hit Channel 4 soap in 2021.

In previous Hollyoaks episodes, viewers saw the character of PC George Smith abuse beloved show regular John Paul McQueen. In the emotionally charged scenes, George attempted to turn John Paul’s family and friends against him by claiming that he was emotionally and physically abusing him. As viewers now know, it was George who was the one abusing John Paul.

Following the death of George, Carlton, believing John Paul to be guilty, made an attempt to tamper with evidence in order to have him arrested. Even claiming that he witnessed JP kill George.

With actor Calum Lill now apparently set to make waves in Weatherfield, fans are in for some exciting new storylines ahead. Sources have claimed Calum will be playing the part of duty solicitor Joel Deering in his upcoming Coronation Street episodes, with his character set to assist Lauren Bolton. He may even strike up a close bond with Dee-Dee.

A source told The Sun: "Callum’s been filming for a few weeks and his character couldn’t be more different from PC Smith on Hollyoaks."

They added: “He’ll be on screen next week as part of Dee-Dee’s new storyline."

Calum Lill is no stranger to the acting scene, and isn’t just famous for his Coronation Street and Hollyoaks roles. The talented star has appeared in movies such as Heads or Tails, I can see clearly now and Sleep Warm.

Calum has also appeared as Chez Wilson-Needham in dramatic hospital based show, Holby City and also had a stint in the popular soap Doctors the same year, playing the role of Conor Henson.

With the well known star clearly having an excellent range of acting skills, fans can expect to see some excitement ahead.
