Corrie’s Adam Hussain teases dark turn for Aadi in racy affair storyline

Coronation Street favourite Adam Hussain has teased a dark turn ahead for loveable hunk Aadi Alahan.

Over the past few weeks, ITV fans have watched the shopkeeper support and fawn over Amy Barlow as she continues to recover from her horrific rape ordeal earlier this year.

But things are set to take an unexpected turn next week when blonde bombshell Courtney Vance walks into his life with the promise of furthering his father’s business empire.

Things between them quickly turn from friendship into something more physical as the pair begin a racy affair behind her husband’s back.

Now, in an interview with Daily Star and other press, the 22-year-old has teased that his character could soon spiral out of control.

When he was asked what he would like to see Aadi get up to in the future, the soap star confessed he would to play a darker role on the ITV Cobbles.

He told us: “I think I would like to see in the future for Aadi possibly him expanding the Alahan business into uncharted territory.

“Like possibly something illegal like a drug empire or something and get Simon Barlow involved, that would be quite funny to see.”

The actor has also hinted that Aadi may take after his father’s womanising ways as he “becomes a man” during this coming-of-age storyline with former Hollyoaks star Stephanie Davis.

When asked if he will become a ladies' man like his father, he cheekily replied: “I mean, he is his father’s son.

“Although I think there is a side to him that can be more like Dev which I'm looking forward to explore more really.

“So I can’t wait to see what Aadi gets up to next and explore more of that side too.”

The young star will be sharing the screen with the Scouse beauty who has made her return to the silver screen following her departure from Hollyoaks as Sinead O’Connor in 2020 due to personal issues.

Reality TV fans will also remember Stephanie from her memorable stint on Celebrity Big Brother as well as the BBC talent search competition Over the Rainbow.

Speaking of her arrival on the show, she gushed: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining the cast of Coronation Street, playing the part of Courtney Vance.

“Growing up I have always watched and loved the show, so to be part of the biggest TV soap in Britain, which is in the hearts and homes of so many people, is an honour.”

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV1 from 9pm and on ITVX.
