Corrie's Beth actress Lisa George looks unrecognisable on Pointless Celebrities | The Sun

Coronation Street actress Lisa George looked almost unrecognisable in a recent TV appearance.

The soap actress, who plays the role of Beth Sutherland on the cobbles brought out her knowledge for an appearance on Pointless Celebrities.

Lisa, 52, appeared as a contestant on the celeb edition of the quiz show, hosted by Alexander Armstrong, 53, and Richard Osman, 52.

She was joined by other names including former I'm A Celebrity star Carl Fogarty, BBC Radio presenter Jo Good, and Escape to the Country star Sonali Shah.

Olympic athlete Perri Shakes-Drayton, actress Sarah Greene, Dancing On Ice pro Dr Tom Naylor and Capital Radio's Sian Welby completed the line-up of contestants.

However, Lisa wowed on the set as she sported a glamorous high necked emerald green top and forest green trousers.

She complimented her statement look with chunky emerald green earrings and a thin gold chain around her neckline.

The actress donned a bold red lipstick as she wore her hair in curls which were styled together for a high messy bun look, a far cry than the plain look of her Coronation Street character.

She was on the team with Dr Tom Naylor and although the pair reached the final round, they failed to take home the jackpot.

However every contestant managed to take home £500 for their respective chosen charities.
