EastEnders: Kathy says she wants Ian Beale at the wedding

EastEnders fans think they’ve spotted some new clues about the death on Christmas Day this year following scenes from Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) and Tom “Rocky” Cotton’s (Brian Conley) wedding.

As the couple tied the knot in a typical EastEnders-style wedding full of drama, eagle-eyed fans noticed some subtle hints foreshadowing the Christmas tragedy, with “clues” presented within the script.

Firstly, fans spotted the dress Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) is wearing in the flash-forward, which sees her kneeling to the floor towards a dead body before announcing: “He’s dead.”

Fans also picked up in the fact that Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) made a few ominous remarks.

Speaking to Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) and Keanu Taylor(Danny Walters), she asked: “No one killed anyone yet?”

With the dress in the scene as well as Kat’s mention of murder, along with the fact all six of the Walford women who appear in the iconic episode made appearances throughout the week, it’s possible the instalment was packed full moments that foreshadowed the December killing.

The dress was one which was purchased by Kathy weeks ago, but she opted for a different gown for her big day.

Sharon is wearing the very dress in the future scene, and fans were certain its appearance on Tuesday meant something more.

Twitter user @natashate1983 shared: “So Suki and Kathy interaction and Sharon’s wedding dress hanging in her house. More Christmas clues. #Eastenders.”
