Emmerdale: Gennie wants to speak to Chas alone 2015

Emmerdale’s Gennie Walker star looks completely different to when she appeared in the ITV soap a decade ago.

The now 41-year-old is most remembered for her sleek brown bob and edgy fringe, although since her departure she’s showcasing a much different look.

Taking to Instagram, Sian Reese-Williams shared a series of images of her onstage in the musical production of the play In Dreams.

Now with long curled brunette hair, with some blonde streaks throughout, Sian told her followers a bit more about her new role.

She captioned her post: “This is Jane Seabrook (the greatest country rockstar name that never was).

“Jane is the lyricist of Heartbreak Radio (the greatest country rock band that never was).

“So… Jane wrote the lyrics to You Got It, Pretty Woman, Handle With Care and many more…JANE IS AN ACTUAL GENIUS.”

The actress confessed the production is the first time she’s taking on musical theatre as she paid tribute to her co-stars.

It wasn’t long before people commented on her posts about the show, including her former Emmerdale co-star Charley Webb.

On an image of the script, Charley quipped: “I’ve never been more excited.”

In another snap of Sian playing Jane, user simonds474 said: “Oh Sian! How brilliant is this! You look absolutely fantastic, those boots are just beyond. Oh, I do with I could see it! So fun.”

With Gillymbay adding: “Looks absolutely wonderful. Enjoy yourself.”

Sian left Emmerdale in 2013 after her character was killed off by Cameron Murray (Dominic Power).

Gennie was initially involved in a car accident before being suffocated to death by Cameron.

He wanted to ensure she didn’t reveal any information about his involvement in Carl King’s (Tom Lister) murder.

Sian played Gennie for five years as she made her debut in 2008 when she went to the village to find her biological father Shadrach Dingle (Andy Devine).

Speaking about her decision to leave in the past, the actress confessed it felt like the right time to move on.

Emmerdale continues weeknights on ITV from 7:30pm.
