I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star Frankie Dettori has become the first star to get voted off the show.

The ITV programme returned to TV screens on Sunday night (December 3) for its first elimination of the series. With Ant and Dec back at the helm, the Geordie duo had to deliver the news to the unlucky campmate.

The public have been voting for the past 24 hours for which famous face they want to stay in the show. And in the Aussie jungle, the hosts revealed it was Frankie who had gotten the boot.

After hearing the news, he said: "Yess! I'm going home, I love you all. I'm going to be sat watching you. Imagine the breakfast I am going to have." Nigel Farage then shared his shock at the result and proclaimed: "This is a fix Frankie you were last in and first out."

Frankie entered the Aussie jungle with Tony Bellew during episode five. Fans will recall that the pair were made coaches of two teams battling in sporting competition to win food.

Talking about his jungle experience to Ant and Dec, Frankie branded it as "surreal" but confessed he was a bit disappointed to be the first to go. He said: "It's been so surreal, what an adventure.

"It really hit me when we got the letters. You forget there is a world out there and people are out there watching you."

He added: "Emotions are up and down, I have been dieting for 30 years but this takes it to another level. You just need some fuel in your stomach, you feel your body shutting down. So every time you get the rice it puts you back up. It has been challenging, I will be honest with you."

When asked how he felt about being the first famous face to leave, Frankie said: "I am disappointed yes, but I did nearly two weeks and beat my fears of enclosed spaces and snakes all in the same task. I met some wonderful people and it's been a fantastic experience."

At the end of his chat, the hosts quizzed Frankie on who he wants to win. He shared: "I think Sam will win, he is larger than life character and completely nuts."

During his time on the show, he took on the Dreaded Beds trial with Nella Rose when a snake almost slithered into his pants. Sadly, the trial went badly and they won zero coins, as they played to win luxury items.

Elsewhere in the episode, Nella faced her fears in the Fright at the Museum Bushtucker Trial and won nine out of ten stars. With no lights to guide her, she was tasked with searching around for display cabinets in which stars were hidden.

But sadly for the 26-year-old it was not only treasure that's on display with critters, lizards and earthworms amongst the things joining her.

After exiting with nine out of ten stars, Nella said: "It was very scary. I’m shaking. Fear of the unknown. I just remembered, Tony, he really believes in me and he thinks I’m the strongest woman on the planet, confined space, you lot pushed it with that. In the jet black, no. But me and Tony Bellew are neck and neck."
