ABC is releasing a new game show called Generation Gap.
Generation Gap will be hosted by the famous TV host Kelly Ripa.
What are the rules of Generation Gap?
Both "seniors and juniors" will come together and put their knowledge to the test on Generation Gap.
In the ultimate generation game show, people of younger and older generations will compete on live TV.
The new game show is inspired by the segment of the same name on the Jimmy Kimmel show.
Kimmel is also an executive producer on the game show along with Ripa.

On the show grandparents and grandchildren will be put against against each other.
Ripa, 51, will quiz them on topics from each other's generations.
In a statement obtained by Sportskeeda, Ripa spoke about the new game show.
"Generation Gap is a family friendly game show that really takes two generations from a family.

"Usually grandparents and grandchildren … and we ask them a series of questions about each other’s generations."
The topics that the contestants are quizzed on vary across the board.
Ripa also called the show more of a "comedy show than a game show" due to the comedic nature of the contestant's responses.
"I have my parents who are much older and my kids who are much younger and its fascinating what their commonalities are, what they know about each other’s generation and what they don’t know.
"What they know is always shocking and something to marvel but what they don’t know is unbearable funny," Ripa told the outlet.
When does Generation Gap premiere?
Generation Gap will premiere on Thursday, July 7, 2022.
The description of the show reads: "Kelly Ripa hosts the new comedy quiz game show from Emmy® Award-winning producers Jimmy Kimmel and Mark Burnett.
"'Generation Gap' pairs teams of seniors and juniors, challenging them to answer questions about pop culture from each other's generations."
On July 6, 2022, Ripa shared a sneak peek of the show on her Instagram.
She captioned the video: "Who’s ready to play #GenerationGap with me tomorrow?! Grab your kids (or your grannies) and tune in at 9/8c on ABC!"

Viewers can watch Generation Gap on the ABC network on Thursdays at 9/8c on the ABC network.
For those that miss the live shows, it will also be available to stream on the Hulu app the following day.
