Ed Balls has revealed he still uses his special Love Island suitcase even though his daughters have "condemned" it in the past.

The 55-year-old Good Morning Britain host was thrilled last July after being gifted a silver personalised Love Island suitcase that read 'Ballsy' in pink letters on the front.

But it appears his daughters hated seeing their dad strut around the house with his swanky new suitcase, which is identical to the ones islanders use on the ITV dating show.

It seems they've come around to it though, because Ed explained they've started using it instead of him.

It came during Monday's (January 16) show which saw Ed's co-host Susanna Reid tease him about being "obsessed" with the villa dating show ahead of the winter series kicking off tonight at 9pm on ITV.

Ed reiterated his fondness for former contestant Paige Thorne when he said: "It was only seeing Paige's face which made me understand the challenges she was having with Jacques."

Susanna replied: "I forgot, of course, how obsessed. It's not just that you watch, you actually are obsessed with Love Island."

She went: "You have got a Love Island suitcase, haven't you? Which you haven't just got in a cupboard somewhere, you use on a regular basis."

Ed revealed: "It's been to the south coast, it's been to Southern Spain, and also been to Yorkshire in the past three weeks."

Susanna mocked: "It's had such a glamorous tour of the UK."

Ed then gushed: "Do you know what's really cool about it? I don't often get to use it because my daughters, who condemned its arrival in the house, keep wheeling it themselves."
