A FOUR in a Bed viewer has spilled the beans on some of the best kept secrets from the show.
The hit Channel 4 series involves four sets of B&B owners who take it in turns to stay with one another.
A fan of the show visited one of the properties that was featured on the show and was stunned to discover how the programme is really filmed.
The visitor explained that contestants are "not allowed" to socialise outside of filming hours.
Sharing their experience on Reddit, they wrote: "I wasn’t on the show but I stayed in one of the places on Four in a Bed and he was telling us how the contestants were not allowed to socialise outside of the filming hours.
"He was saying how they all snuck out to the pub and they were chased down by a producer who had to sit with them and make sure they didn’t discuss each others properties."

The superfan revealed that it takes two weeks for one episode to be completed.
"He also told us that they had no idea where they were going and who they were staying with and that the show was filmed over two weeks," they continued.
"There was a bit of cheating in his series but I can’t really say much about it other than those who cheated were screwed over come payment day."
The Four in a Bed fan shared secrets behind-the-scenes, including why some scenes look very "forced".

"Speaking of payment day that apparently took 12 hours to film!" they added.
"He was also saying that they had to keep doing multiple takes for things like being shown to the bedroom and meeting at the front of the B&B.
"That’s why sometimes it looks so forced and unnatural."
Contestants also keep tight-lipped about their time on the show before it's aired.
Another person shared: "My parents stayed at a place that was featured on Four in a Bed but the episode hadn’t aired yet so the owners weren’t allowed to say much about it. I'm really curious as to what being on the programme was like, too!"

A third posted: "I had a mate who worked there during it. He was oddly secretive about it, but from what I gleaned, the producers aren't that hands on. The weirdest thing is that most (if not all) social interaction has to be on camera.
"The b****iness and backstabbing during the final roundtable is all legit."
